This book has good information WHEN it can be found. There's no table of contents and no index. When searching for information on a medication, it's hit or miss as to whether you'll find any thing at all.
I would definitely NOT recommend spending the money on this book. It's frustrating and time consuming--time better spent on my patients.

Lexi-comp was required for my ANP program. At first I found it frustrating as there was no index but soon realized everything is in alphabetical order, so if you are looking for medications listed by catagory this is not the one. This book appears to be geared more so to the prescriber or pharmacist and not someone who is interested in what they should be teaching the patient regarding a particular med. One thing that was a bonus was at the end of the book there are several specialty chapters regarding recommened guidelines for various diseases such as asthma, pnuemonia and so on. Overall this was a handy book for the comprehensive medication reviews we were required to complete on patients. I plan on buying the lexi-comp iphone version as it is much more comprehensive and includes labs and other parameters needed for practice that are not found in this book.
